I love North Haven.
When I moved to Connecticut ten years ago, North Haven welcomed me with open arms. Since then, my family and I have built a life here and are deeply rooted and involved in its civic life.
I am running for Board of Selectmen to serve and give back to my town, which has given so much to me and my family – and to provide new energy and new ideas that help us navigate the times we're in and meet the challenges ahead.

David Cohen is a proud North Haven resident, husband, father, public servant, and leader who understands the challenges facing our families and our town.
As both a small business owner of a gym and fitness facility and senior leader at a Connecticut-based Fortune 500 manufacturing company, he knows what it takes to grow a business and our local economy. As a volunteer firefighter, he has firsthand experience and knowledge of what it takes to keep our community safe. As a civic leader, he's ready to bring fresh ideas, new energy and strong leadership to North Haven.

Supporting Our Schools
As a former public school teacher and parent of two North Haven public school students, David is a believer in the power of public education. He'll advocate and fight for the resources and programs our children and educators need and deserve so that our students are prepared for success — in college, the workforce, and beyond.
Strengthening Public Safety
As a volunteer firefighter in North Haven, David serves on the front lines with his fellow first responders – and he knows firsthand what it takes to keep our residents safe. David is committed to ensuring our police and fire departments have the staffing, training, equipment and technology they need to keep our community safe and secure.
Enhancing Our Quality of Life
Our town's services, parks, recreational center and pool, sports programs, library, senior center, clubs, local concerts and festivals make North Haven an incredible place to live and raise a family. David will work to protect and expand these services and offerings, so that residents can continue to enjoy them for years to come.
Growing Our Local Economy
As a small business owner of a gym and fitness facility in North Haven, David understands the joys and challenges of entrepreneurship. As senior in-house counsel for a Connecticut-based Fortune 500 manufacturing company, David knows what it takes to attract new businesses, create jobs, and expand our tax base.

In a time of division in our country, North Haven is an example of bipartisan cooperation and civility. David believes in the power of listening, engaging and working together—regardless of party affiliation—to build a stronger, more connected community.
